About Us
Hi, my name is Stacey Mifsud and I am the Director of Sunflower Community Supports. The life of working in disability found me, having grown up with a close family member who lived with others with a disability and having bonded with him as well as the people that he lived with, and later having two children diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum and finding out how to best support them and myself as their carer.Whilst they were quite young I completed my diploma in counselling largely from home and then also went on to complete my degree in Social Sciences in Psychology.
As the children got older I decided that I wanted a job that could help me with giving back to the community and became an NDIS Local Area Coordinator (LAC) and gained a multitude of experience of the inner workings of the NDIS.Later I decided that I wanted to have closer professional relationships with participants and their families, and continue to gain experience in Support Coordination and Recovery Coaching whilst also branching out into working for myself.
Sunflower Community Supports has grown rapidly and we now have a number of support coordinators, therapists and support workers working together to provide the best possible outcomes for our participants. Although our organisation is getting bigger, we still have a personalised approach with our participants ensuring that their daily needs as well as ongoing aspirations and goals are met and exceeded.
We look forward to meeting with you and starting our journey together towards assisting you with achieving your goals.
