Here’s what we have to offer

For Kids
School Readiness Program
If you would to support your child to transition to primary school seamlessly or you would like them to gain more skills to apply to their current school setting, enrol your child in this 10-week school readiness program developed by our teachers and mental health clinicians. This program is ideal for children under 7 experiencing developmental delays or that have Autism, Intellectual Disability and/or ADHD diagnosis. In small groups of 4, a teacher, counsellor and early childhood educator will help them build social, cognitive, emotional and educational skills to make the transition process easier for them. Contact us to get more details about the program.
Social Skills Program
Our social skills programs are designed for young people between the ages of 7 and 13 and 14 and 18 with a mild to moderate disability to support them with improving their social skills in a small group setting. Designed by mental health clinicians, the program runs for 10 weeks and incorporates fun filled activities to engage young people whilst building their communication skills, cognitive skills, emotional regulation skills and confidence. In small groups of 4 a counsellor and early childhood educator will guide our kids through this program, designed in a way that children won’t even know that they are doing therapy, making sure they have fun whilst seamlessly learning principles that will support them to have successful relationships now and in the future. Holiday Program

At Sunflower Community Supports, we pride ourselves in providing an inclusive and supportive holiday program that aims for children and teens with various disabilities and support needs to have a great time over the school holidays in a safe and engaging setting, whilst also giving parents respite and peace of mind for their children’s care.We will work with you to make sure that your child’s adventure with us are fun and successful. We will complete an intake with you and discuss your child’s strengths, specific needs and goals. From here we will allocate the most appropriate staff to your child. We will brief them on your child’s needs likes and dislikes and support profile in order for them to assist with the most appropriate support.

On the day we will usually meet at our Center in Epping and then take the children out for some time during the day. If you need transport to and from the center, we can also arrange this. This allows for the staff to stay together in a group setting when out in the community so that they can support one another if a child is having difficulty with regulating their emotions or needing additional support, which offers overall increased safety for our children.

We do heaps of fun stuff with the kids, including bowling, parks, zoos etc. We aim to keep your out of pocket costs for activities low, maximising on what is already available in the community. We can offer 2:1, 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 supports depending on your child’s needs. Typically we would suggest a minimum of 1:2 support for your child’s first excursion with us with 1:1 being highly recommended for children with any history of behaviours of concerns. We suggest this whilst we get to know your child and then we will reassess the level of care that we believe they require to be supported safely for further excursions.

Since our holiday program has a high focus on increasing your child’s capacity, we are able to access either core or capacity building supports for your child to join our program. We are also able to provide a report/ letter of support to assist with evidence for future NDIS funds and with information of how our program has supported your child to achieve their goals.

We have our holiday program schedule completed about a month before school holidays commence, which you can find a link here. Holiday Program Schedule
