Meeting Children’s Needs with Specialised Services
At Sunflower Community Supports, we strive to meet diverse needs of children with our specialised services. We run various programs and services to support children with developmental delays and other diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD and intellectual disabilities.
Our services and programs are aimed at improving children’s social and communication skills as well as their independence.
Speech Pathology
Our speech therapists can assist children with developing receptive and expressive communication, language comprehension and social skills. They can also support your child with speech and language assessments to better understand where they require more support. Services are available at home, kinder and school as well as in the community, and also onsite in our clinic
Occupational Therapy
At Sunflower our Occupational Therapists can support your child to reach their goals and maximise their independence as they get older. Your OT can support you and your child with developing daily routines and skills such as toileting and sleeping, managing emotional regulation as well as working on the fine and gross motor skills.
Services are available at home, kinder and school as well as in the community, and also onsite in our clinic.
Cognitive Assessments

Key Work
Our Key Workers are speech pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, Early Childhood teachers and Social Workers who work in a team to support children with disabilities and developmental delays under the age of 9. Key Work is recognised as best practise early intervention as it compasses a number of supports in one specialist including therapy, family and carer training as well as coordination of supports and linkages with services as required.

Support Coordination Level 2
Let us support you with implementing your Child’s NDIS plan and engage with services that will assist you with achieving your goals. We have vast knowledge of the NDIS and will also support you with ensuring that your NDIS plan reflects your current needs
Specialist Support Coordination Level 3
We are experienced with assisting participants with various complex needs and have the clinical skills as well as the know how to assist you with liaising with various services such as Child Protection, Schools and Kindergarten, Family services etc to ensure that you are accessing all supports that are available to you, through the NDIS as well as other government services.
Group Therapy Supports
We provide a number of group therapy sessions for children with different focus to engage participants with different cognitive capacity, ages and different interests.
